You will have a little bit of slack before the pedal engages.

I had to play with mine quite a bit. At first I thought really tight was the way to go, but I found the clutch releasing way at the top and I wouldn't go into gear. I loosened it almost completely and it now lets out where I want it to, and I haven't had issues shifting at high rpm's anymore.

higher the better if you ask me, assuming it all engages correctley. I got used to the modified nissan standard in my 4 year hiatus lol. in my 240sx all it took, and im not kidding you, was a flick of my toe (in flip flops). Only problem was that it lacked feel. there was maybe a quarter inch of play, tops. I went back to stangs because i love sn95's and i want to be diffrent from the standard. ill miss the 240sx. completetly diffrent driving styles as far as RWD is concerned.
