I'm looking to replace my clutch cable and quadrant with some of the refund money I got from school. I have tried reading some reviews on them and what I've read the aftermarket ones don't seem to last long before snapping.

I was wondering if anyone could weigh in and tell me if they personally have had good or bad luck with an aftermarket Cable kit, and what brand it was.

Thanks everyone :)

Really forget about aftermarket clutch cables!!! They are not made anywhere near the quality of the OEM ones! Go to MM's site & read the tech article on them....MM sells ONLY OEM cables & great kits....quadrants & firewall adjusters are ok to buy others like Steeda, Fiore & MM etc. My Steeda clutch cable lasted 2.5 years before it broke but it was so stiff for two of those years that I hated it!!!

DO NOT BUY AN AFTERMARKET CABLE! They are garbage, i had lots of issues with an aftermarket one. Like Mustanger said just go with OEM.

ive been running a steeda cable/quadrant/adjuster for a couple years now without issue
I think the steeda one is the MM one. The cable that I got from CJ's came apart on me with in about 2-3 months..... That is right, came apart, not stretched......rocking the stock cable now, but will be going to the MM one this spring.

I guess from the responses I've goteen so far that I'm just gonna go ahead and get the full MM kit. Since the shipping is only $3 more for the kit over the cable alone, which doesn't make it any simpler to buy the quadrant and adjuster seperatly.

Thanks everyone!
