I was gunna get two new gauges from autometer and I had a couple questions. I planned on getting a oil temp gauge with actual numbers instead of the factory one and trans temp gauge to keep an eye on my tranny while I autocross. I was going with autometer ultra-lite II gauges, they come with the sending units. What else would I need?

have you decided where your going to mount them?
Options are: in the clock pod, another cluster bezel with 2 extra guages, mount them in the compt. below the radio, A piller.

Just do three gauges. It's mo' betta anyway.
Its also more expensive, lol, and I like them being right by my factory cluster because I can glance and check on everything right there. Your plates are pretty sick, just not my cup of tea bro.

One more gauge isn't much money.

As long as the gauges aren't in the back seat, your eyes can "glance and check" just as quickly to somewhere on the center stack, the A-pillar, the gauge bezel, the clock pod, etc... It doesn't make any difference. In fact, I've had the gauge cluster bezel and I found it more difficult because my steering wheel would block it.

You could do what Dalamar did and move the heater control panel under the radio and then put the 3 guages where the heater knobs were.

That sounds like that would be really cool

lol, you also have to understand that Im 16 and I have like no money to spend on anything extra, I would love to go that route but I just like the fact of them being right there. When Im running an autox course I really have no chance to check down, I just like how they're right there.

Hey Autocross,

I bought some gauges that not only work well, but you can customize them in your own colors, lighting, logos, and font type. Check out www.speedhut.comhttp://. It's fun to just play around building gauges on their website.

Also, when you get loaded, (with money, I mean) check out this beautiful instrument cluster. It's set up like the Ford GT40 sports car.

Also, here are some lower cost options from Florida 5.0, again.

I love autocrossing. My 2002 is being done to drag race, autocross, and just cruise. Congratulations on your car.

That first cluster is gorgeous, I would love to have that. Is it an autometer cluster?
The 2nd and 3rd pics are a lil too clustered for me. Thanks for the link too
