Is worth it to put an aftermarket plenum on a stock 4.6 with CAI?

^ yeah do the whole thing. And then pair it up with a PI intake. ~$400 bucks for some nice airflow. The less restriction the better, just keep it reasonable.

You can find them cheap in the classifieds. I grabbed an accufab in mint condition for under $100

The crownvic version flows the best for a factory component. Pair it with a 70mm 5.4l truck throttle body and youll have a cheap setup.
