I remember seeing a thread about my same problem a long time ago but can't find it even after searching forever. Well when I turn my AC or heater on it blows extremely cold or hot air just like it should. But the problem is after a while it quits coming out of the vents really strong and just barely anything comes out but it still sounds like it's running on the highest setting. Could somebody point me in the direction to go? Thanks.

Yes it does. Whenever I change it to the vent settings it takes it awhile but it starts blowing strong again.

No, it always comes out the selection that its on. If it's supposed to defrost it defrosts if it's supposed to come out the floor it comes out the floor. It's just that it doesn't keep blowing out at the same rate. At first it's fine but after a while it stops coming out fast and the air barely comes out. Then I switch it to come out of the vents and it comes out slowly and then after a while it comes out at full strength.

sounds like a mixing valve issue.
It's located in the dash behind the radio,
Might just be a loose vacuum line in there

Do you have any idea what it looks like, or what to do once I find it? It's like single digit temps these next few days and the less time I can spend outside the better ha.

No I wish I did.
Vacuum leak is a common prob in the sn's. But it's usually the vac line under the hood that's broken. And when it does break all the air goes to the defroster vents.
Have you been under the dash lately? (radio install?) changed lights in the cluster?

Ya I'll have to take a look behind there. I haven't installed anything new cd deck wise and haven't looked back there since I've had the car. I think uncle Matt (his username isn't that) had the fix maybe.

Looked back there and still don't see anything out of the ordinary. The air comes through all the different vents though. Any other ideas? Hah certainly I'm not the only SN95 owner to have this happen to him

do you have a vacuum tester so you can each individul vac line to find a leak?

You might be able to use the engine vacuum to test the doors.
Just let the car idle and move the handle and wait for the door to close.
