All Magnaflow People, please read...

I recently got a Magnaflow Magnapack cat back exhaust from a buddy who had it on his 98' but I have a 96'. Unfortunately he doesn't have the 96/97 style rear hangers the kit originally came with so I am a bit stuck.

In the middle of this picture, the very inner _/- shaped hangers are the 98 style which I have but cannot use, I need the 96/97 style ones which are the _|- shaped ones you see to the outside.

I'm wondering if any of you 98 guys may still have the 96/97 style _|- shapedhangers that your kit came with laying around that I could buy from you.

Looking at the picture, what the hell are the black hangers with the rubber fittings there for?

i think they are for the mufflers.

Oh right, there is an extra set of hangers on the over the axle tubes and there is no stock location to hang those, so with the black things it makes the one stock location into 2, one for the muff hanger and 1 for the over the axle tube hanger. Well that mystery is solved, awesome

On to the rear hangers that I need, anyone have them laying around???

Nope, I want to run the tail pipes but I need the 96/97 style hangers that come with the cat back when you buy it new.

hey man,so 98 is different from 94 -97?
on the magnaflow website it says applications 96-98

yea it will probably be easier to get the hanger off a 98 gt than someone giving you the arm off a set ya know.

Stick them in a vice and bend them, or buy the actual mount's from a 98

dont think i do, ill check when i get home. i have a box of parts in my closet, kinda remember having hangers in there, but not 100% positive

hey man,so 98 is different from 94 -97?
on the magnaflow website it says applications 96-98

They give you 2 sets of hangers with the kit, one set for 96 and 97's one set for 98's.

I agree, I just don't think the 98 hangers will bolt up to my frame.

Can't bend them, they're stupidly thick and I'd never get the measurements/angles right.

Any idea if they will bolt up to a 96' frame? I'd been told they won't because they are held in with 2 bolts vs the 96 hangers that are only 1 bolt.

It's all good brother, I actually just got a PM over on SVT Performance from a guy that has them, I'm PSYCHED!!!!!!!

Thanks to all that read and/or replied to this thread, expect some videos of an o/r H with Magnaflow Magnapacks real soon! I'm not sure if it will sound as good as my Flows in the video below but it'll definitely be louder which should be fun

sorry, no hagers here. i have the catted-x pipe and magnapack catback from magnaflow. you will LOVE it. not too loud inside the car, no drone. but really loud at WOT with some nice bass going from 1800rpm to 2800.
