what other cars have 4.6 dohcs and what are the differences from the cobras?

the Lincoln mark 8 has the 4.6 dohc 1994 and up i think im not to sure whats different probly just the intake cause the mark 8 has 10 less horse power

Ya the MarkVIII motor is rated for I think 285HP Because the intake is designed for low-end and not top-end and the exhaust cams are a little less aggressive.

If you were to change out the cams and the intake manifold its potential could be close to that of a 96-98 cobra motor, the only thing is the compression. The mark's have 9.8:1, I'm not sure what the Cobras have.

the mark8's have the same cams as an 03-04 Cobra/Mach...they are much less aggressive compared to the 96-98 Cams. The early 93-96 mark8 intake is a very shitty design, and the 97-98 one is better, but still no where close to a Cobra one. The oil pan on the mark8 is different too, as well as the exhaust manifold. They also have a 6-bolt cast iron crank instead of the CObra's 8-bolt forged crank.
