Aluminized Pipe Question.... is there a coating on the pipe?

exactly, the mufflers and the flowtubes are in good condition because they are SS, but the tailpipes are f'd up.... so thats why i am headed to bassani.

i usually black out my exhaust with high temp paint and wire brush the tips and crevices. i like the blacked out look. which reminds me soon ill be looking for another cat back.

They didn't make the kits half and half, it's either all aluminized with stainless tips or its fully stainless. The muffler internals are stainless on both kits but the outside is not.

That seems WAY too cheap, especially from Bassani. I asked them and they told me like $250 for new tailpipes, i was like i can get a whole new exhaust for less than double that.

i went down to Bassani, talked to Sheldon and convinced them to sell me the pipes for $140 since i drove there to pick them up.

Hey onyx, the reason they charged you so much is because the tips and tail pipes on your car is 1 piece. On mine the tips disconnect from the tailpipes.

already purchased. I ordered the CC plates Today from Josh at stang suspension and am trying to get discount tires to price match another shop and lower the price.

.....Plus i detailed a Benz' Yesterday so i had a little extra cash in the pocket

when i buy MM products ill go to Corral they have the best disc. i only paid $113for my Full lenght SFC shipped.

Handz, use glass cleaner and steel wool pads to clean the flow tubes

i used #0000 steel wool to clean the Tips.... but i dont think thats gonna be strong enough.

what # wool should i use?

Go to the hardaware store to see what they have, you want to get that shit off and work your way down to 000 again for great finish and to complete it,use a polish such as Brasso.
