Wife told me the other day that she kept hearing a noise from the front left tire area on her Explorer. Finally had a chance to look at it today so I pulled off the wheel and started looking around. Sure enough she had completely snapped the sway bar link.

Get online, part is in stock, under $20 lifetime warranty. No big deal right? Go pick up the part then come back to remove the old one. No matter what I did I could not break the bottom bolt loose, impact, breaker bar, penetrating oil, heat up with torch, nothing.

At this point I was getting pissed at it so I broke out the angle grinder, 2 minutes later took it out in pieces.

Every time I work on this truck I appreciate the Mustang more. Parts that actually come apart and aren't seized up with rust are so much nicer to work on.

you can't tell me that it isn't a little bit gratifying when you finally yank out all the broken pieces and feel like either mooning the car of yelling "F-you" at it as you declare victory...

No way I was taking pics of a broken sway bar link, it looked just like a regular link but about 3" shorter where it snapped and the loose part fell off

Oh I did that, as soon as the grinder was through and the old piece fell out I was dancing a little "F U" jig

Right on with that man. Our Exploder is the same dam way. Can't tell you how many bolts I've had to drill and easy out, out on that thing. Mustang comes apart fairly easily. Furd turd exploder..
