I'm sure many will call bs on this but I don't care, just gonna state the facts and hard numbers as I read them. I have no reason and nothing to gain from lying.

-Filled up gas tank with shell 91 v-power (I always use this now)
-Reset odometer
-Drove 370km combination speeding on highway, getting stuck in stop and go traffic, detouring through town, used the car to help my grandpa move (loaded right up for a 30km drive to new apartment) and then hit the highway the whole way back home.
-I was tired of moving shit all day and just wanted to get home, drove pretty damn close to 149 km/h the whole way home with no traffic or endangering anyone - it was night time ( @ 150 or 50km/h over limit you loose your licence and get a huge fine - not worth going faster than 149)
-I confirmed through GPS on my iphone with the speedometer app that @ a tad over 2000 RPM in 5th the car is doing 150
-I went WOT in 1st 2nd and 3rd maybe 3-4 times throughout the whole trip
-My speedo tested to be pretty accurate, it read 5km/h faster than GPS which I understand is normal for any cars speedometer (295/35/18 tires on stock speedo gear)
-Got home and filled right back up with the same gas - I had about 5/16 of a tank of gas left on the gas gauge
-Car took 37.9 something litres
-Rounded up to 38L and calculated 10.1 L/100 or 28 MPG
-Mods in signature and I have the 2:73 gears
-Nitto NT05 tires which I would guess have a very low rolling resistance (not much tread there) but they are 265 wide front and 295 wide rear
-Steeda wing and Mach 1 chin spoiler - not helping fuel economy there. Especially at 150km/h

The car is in great shape mechanically new parts everywhere no check engine light or codes - Running stock un-tuned T4MO ECU (tweecer crapped out)

I'm pretty happy with my results and can only wonder what I could achieve if I actually did the speed limit and did not have fun. Probably won't ever happen lol

Anybody else get mileage like this ??

My best was 25 mpg with 3.27's and minor bolt ons (while running premium unleaded that was $4.75) getting about 280-300 miles then coasting into a gas station.

Ya the gas is $1.43 CDN a litre - certainly not the cheap stuff

I fully understand how restrained driving can net impressive gas mileage - I've gotten almost 1000km out of my 100L tank in my f150 but that was on a long trip with continuous driving no traffic or stop and go and extensive use of cruise control. almost 10 MPG better than EPA ratings for my truck on the highway. It is however not stock and has an ECU tune.

I 100% was not driving for gas mileage on this venture much like I never do in the mustang lol. And I haven't had the luxury of cruise control in this car since I put my MOMO wheel on.

For those who don't know the conversion I was doing 85-90 MPH for the majority of the drive home, about half of the 370km round trip

Just to set the record straight there is a difference between Canadian (Imperial measure) and US mpg. Based on the numbers I calculate the CDN mpg @ 28.6 and US @ 22.9. Here's the math. 370 km = 229 miles. 38 litres = 10 gal US or 8 gal CDN. US mpg = 229/10 = 22.9 mpg or CDN mpg = 229/8 = 28.6. These are pretty typical numbers with 2:73 gears.

I stand corrected, your very right. Not absurdly great gas mileage. I looked up the EPA highway ratings and found that it should get 25 mpg back in 1994 with OEM parts. Considering I have upgrades which theoretically increase the efficiency of the engine things now seem on par.

I'm still very happy with my numbers considering the driving conditions of this trip. I get better gas mileage than my dad with a brand new infinity G35 and I certainly drive harder.

I calculated my US MPG on the f-150 wrong also. So much easier for me to stick with the Canadian standard of L/100

My bubble officially burst :(

Thought I had my cake and was able to eat it too, power/fun/economy. All that really matters is the fun anyway, economy was a nice thought because I can save for more go fast / corner hard parts.
