another gear question....

im debating between 3.73s or 3.90s. i know i dont want 4.10s as this is my DD and i do a lot of highway driving. I have a automatic tranny in my car if that makes any difference. Tips or comments welcome.

ive got 3.73s in mine, at 75 im running @ 2500, im gonna step up to 4.10s within the year

Make sure you buy a Speedcal or something to correct your speed i put 3.73 in with my auto trans and my speed is off by like 15mph

DAMN...in the city mine is only 5 mph off, on the highway its 10 mph off

hey man I don't think there's to much of a difference between in rpm between 3.90 and 4.10, also remember ford frpp
does not make a 3.90....................

i know that frpp doesnt make a 3.90. if i get em they would be motive performance gears.

I got 4.10's in my 96 and i love 'em. Once i swap over to the pi stuff, im sure they'll work even better. On the freeway im at around 3k and cruising with traffic. I guess im going around 75-80 mph give or take. But when i downshift and get on it, those gears really get to work. Only drawback is i installed a speedo gear to try and fix the speedometer but im still off like 15 mph or so. They dont sell a speedo gear for anything over 3.73's (from what they tell me). I do have a 5 speed so maybe auto's are different.

3:90 over a 3.73 when mine was an auto, 4:10's didnt seem like to much
