From what i have heard you have to unhook it on the street because it fights to keep the rear axle level with the car, so if you take a corner and a good amount of speed with it hooked up the the body will want to induce some roll but the bar is keeping it lined up with the axle and then kapow it snaps. I hope you understand the explanation.

I had heard that, I just wanted to see what other folks thought.

To this point my car has been a trailer queen, but she's going to get some street duty real soon.

The bar is be designed to flex under cornering, so it should be okay (assuming you bought quality parts, and installed them properly).

BUT if you were running soft rear springs, drag shocks, and a really stiff sway bar... you will apply more load to the sway bar than if you had the proper springs & dampers installed. But most guys who are canyon carvers don't use soft springs (hopefully).

Just my 0.02

Not to jack this thread, but...

Handz, why two anti-roll bars instead of just one larger one (you can get up to a 1.25" OD x 0.250" wall sway bar from MM)?

This would have likely been just as stiff, but with less weight, and more adjustability.

Nice ride non the less.

Oh, this is my rear end... the pic isn't great, and it was before everything was assembled.

i decided to run 2 sway bars to avoid running a PHB...i didnt wanna deal with all the BS of either loosing my Tailpipes or having to Modify then Heavily to get it to work properly. 1 Sway bar is Adjustable Steeda, the other is OEM cobra

I wanted to run this set up to be kinda different... i have only seen 1 or 2 other stangs with this set up.

...but MM T/A FTMFW

I'm reasonably sure that the use of a MM swaybar, doesn't mean that you have to use a panhard bar. If you're still running the UCA's, then they are locating the axle side-side.

And FYI the flowmaster tail pipes seem to work with a MM PHB.

MM Says that the Flowmaster Pipes work but nobody yet has had luck with them on Any forums trying to run them straight from Flowmaster.

I have been following EPIKGT's thread on stangnet regarding this issue because he is the latest Stang i have seem with the problem.

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=737545&highlight=EPIKGT

Someone else on Stangnet went through the same BS Nightmare and has to have custom pipes made.

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=625462

From looking ender my car measuring to see is the PHD would fit just showed me that i would need to have the pipes modified Alot to get the PHB to fit

I'll try to get some better pics of my setup this weekend, and start a new thread next week.

When I installed everything it looked fine, but when I was puting the car away this fall I noticed that it was rubbing a bit (on the axle I think).
