I am looking into doing a swap and need some info. Are the pedal assemblies different from a fox car? will I have to change the cross member and or drive shaft? Can I get away with using a fox body t5 and clutch assembly and clutch cable? I also heard I need to get a harnes that goes from the fire wall to the transmission.

you have 2 options as far as getting parts.
a) buy a complete kit from mps autosalvage or amp performance sells them too. you will spend about 1800 bucks on the kit but everything is there.

b) you can shop around like i did when i did mine. it took a few months to get everything. somethings i bought new and some i bought used. i spent about 1200 bucks when all was said and done.

parts needed for swap:
- 94-95 t-5 and bellhousing. heard that fox t-5s will work but went w/ what i know works. they are not that hard to find
- t4mo 5spd computer
- t-5 wiring harness, got mine from mps autosalvage
- 94-98 pedals- fox pedals will not work to my knowledge
- clutch, flywheel, cable
- upper and lower shift boots
- may need driveshaft, i was able to use auto driveshaft. worked fine but it may vibrate.
- used same crossmember

- bought a new clutch assembly that came with TO bearing, roller pilot bearing.
- bought a new clutch cable with firewall adjuster and quadrant from maximum motorsports
- bought new flywheel, flywheel bolts(are different than flexplate bolts), pressure plate bolts and dowel pins
- bought new clutch fork and pivot ball in bellhousing
- bought steel bearing retainer for TO bearing
- bought upper and lower shift boots new also.

i think that about covers it. if you decide to find your own parts, look on ebay, craigslist, corral.net, stangnet and on this site in the classified section. you will find everything you need. good luck, let me know if you have any other questions.

I live in New Zealand, our domestic market never got SN95's because they are LHD, so buying each piece seperate then having it shipped across the globe would cost me about the same as a brand new car...

A high mileage T5 over here usually costs about USD$2k!

damn. what does a new transmission cost out there? or you could go to a junkyard and get what you need there.

Hey I am new on here, but I have been doing the swap the last couple of weeks. I changed the brake booster out to the hydroboost from a 04 mach 1. I used the pedals from the same car. The guy went automatic. The pedals bolted right in. To fit the hydroboost I had to cut out the hole the old booster used about a 1/2" higher. It then bolted right in. This gave me more room in the engine bay, header clearance, and easier to change plugs. The clutch harness is already in your car, it is tucked up high in the dash on the left side. It has a jumper plug in it and just plugs into the clutch switch on the new pedals, you cannot use fox pedals because it pushes the plunger on the brake boost on the wrong angle. Use 94-98 pedals. For the tranny harness, good luck finding a t-5 harness for a 94-95, I have been looking, but I called AMP performance, and they are sending me a diagram that shows me how to modify the AODE harness into a t-5 harness, and they say it works perfectly. The computer is only in 94-95 5.0 5 speed cars, TM40, they are hard to find, and AMP performance sells them for $225. I just found one on Ebay and picked it up for $55, shipped. I would say to watch on there. I am using an aluminum driveshaft from a fox, and all I need is a new slip yoke from AMP. For the cable, firewall adjuster, and quadrant I used the Steeda kit, and it fit perfect. Also AMP sells a kit that you use with your stock AODE crossmember to mount the tranny, so you don't need to change all of that. I think it is about $100. As far as the rest mine is different because I am using a TKO600 I hope this helps.

i got my harness from mpsautosalvage.com for i believe 50 bucks. there are also junkyards. the harness begins at the firewall on the passenger side. its a big square plug. dont know anything about the kit you bought from amp performance. i did my swap and bolted the t-5 right up to the same crossmember with no modifications. :dunno: i would like to see that kit from amp performance. i know they told me that a different driveshaft was needed because the yoke is different but the same driveshaft worked too.

Yeah the reason I used the fox driveshaft was because I had it lying around. It was a ford racing aluminum, and I had to change the yoke, the difference in the fact that I needed the crossmember install kit was because I am using a tko600
