I frequent sn95, svt, stangnet, and corral most often. Does anyone venture into any others? how are they?

I go to svtp and get a real good laugh over there, I also like trolling for all those termi's and gt500's and such. They do have good tech advice if you can find the people who act seriously, which are few and far between lol

I'm over there.
And I'm the one making comments that stock 94-98 gts are fucking ugly and terribly slow.
I've owned one to prove it.

you're right they're identical.

even if my 94 had good paint it'd still look like a turd next to the cobra.
like I said in that thread - the more you swap parts off your 94-98gt to make it less a 94-98gt and more like a higher trim level mustang, the better off it is fast wise and looks wise. ugly as sin and slower than a snail stock.

So the words "cobra" in the rear bumper change the car from ugly to good looking? lol. I agree that "mustang" is too small...we should have gotten the 99+ font (same font as "COBRA").

I was unaware sn95 cobra's had special seats....got a pic? Or are you referring to a GT with no options (cloth seats)?

I have to say, to say a cobra looks better is 1 thing. But to say the GT is ugly and then to say the cobra looks good is pretty amazing. Pass some of that stuff you are smokin bro!

lol

What kind of steering wheel do cobras have? I always thought it was the same as the GT. Other than the airbag that says "cobra" instead of the pony aren't they the same?

Same here, I got their 100% for the marketplace, some good deals pop up there! After reading this thread, I have an even lower opinion of those guys, A mustang owner is a mustang owner, they shouldn't hate on others because they like a different gen. of stang, why can't we be one big happy family :p?

this is the one of the only sites that I go to which doesn't revolve around racing or tech info.

1. Yes. You'd be kidding yourself if in 1996 you didn't admit every Camaro who came up behind a GT didn't think he'd have his hands full but a Cobra was sh*tting his pants. Simply the name to a non-car person still conveys the thought of muscle car, rarity, and fast.
2. leather is a standard option in the Cobra, and is different 94-95 to 96-98. leather is an EXTREMELY rare option in a GT statistically speaking. I'm sure 500 people on here will say they have it. I'm talking build numbers, it represents a very small percentage.
3. quote me where I say a 96-98 cobra is good looking. please. quote me. I said a stock 96-98gt is ugly and slow. I made no comment about my thoughts on the cobras of those years, of which my wife owns and races one. you simply read into my comments as to what you wanted to see. reading comprehension.

Round ones.
They also have different mass air sensors, valve covers, ignition wires, power steering reservoir brackets, evaporative emissions tubes, etc. if you want to get technical. Or important, expensive options like brakes, springs, swaybars, shocks, etc. Your choice.

I'm on SVTP, some good info from a guy who knows sn95 clusters and electrics like no one else...

And +2 on the classifieds, the prices there seem ridiculously low sometimes... I've snagged up a few good'uns from rich peeps who have too much money to buy parts and then get rid of them for no apparent reason it seems...

Wow 95gtt, I never knew you hated this cars like that. Yes I'll admit that they are rather slow in factory form, but to call them ugly? I'd rather take a slow 96 GT then a 96 Z28, THOSE are ugly cars, if I recall correctly, the camaro was canned in 2002 due to sales figures being crappy and the mustang killing in despite having a huge power disadvantage. A powerplant can be changed, looks can be altered only so much. To make a stock GT mustang look good isn't hard at all, lower it, through either a mach 1 chin spoiler or cobra front bumper, cowl hood, S281 spoiler, different head lights and either bullitts/cobras/ saleens etc, and you have a decent looking car. I'll admit that I like the look of terminator cobra more than my car, but I never bought my car for "factory performance", I bought it to modify and make my own and I'm pretty sure my HCI 302 is faster than lots of other cars out there. Terminator fast? Hell no, but considering I never spent much on it and I still have LOTS of room for power expansion, I'll take my "ugly and slow" five litre...
