I just bought some new pads and rotors for my car and I'm looking to start installing them around 1 or so. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've done this on my old truck many times, but this will be the first on the new car. I heard there was some tool that you might need for the rear or something? Thanks in advance!

You'll need the tool to spin the rear caliper pistons back into the calipers. Go back to Ford for the rear caliper anti-rattle kit for the pads.
The small metal springs fatigue from the heat/time. The aftermarket pieces don't even compare.

Make sure to put a bit of lube on the pads where they seat in the anchors. You might also need a little bit of brake fluid if you push too much out of the master cylinder when you compress the caliper pistons. If your rotors are bare steel, it's not a bad idea to spray some hi-temp paint on the hats to keep them from rusting and looking like crap. And as GT mentioned, you'll need the special tool to screw the rear calipers back in place.

Also, if you've not done it before and you have someone to help you, it's not a bad time to bleed the brakes and get some fresh fluid in there.

I ended up having to buy new rear calipers because the ones that were on it were seized up from the pads getting too low. It just would not go back in. I even had the "special" tool for it too. It drives fine, I just need to rebleed them again to get my pedal a little stiffer.

i would recommend, as paul already suggested, that you bleed all the brakes while you are in there. hopefully you are familiar with
the buddy system of bleeding(one guy pushing on the pedal, one opening, then closing the bleeder screw). And, make sure you follow
the order of RR, LR, RF, LF when bleeding, and always make sure you have plenty of fluid in the master cyl.
