Im looking into getting a 1998 Acura Integra for a DD for college, it has 40k original miles, one owner, and has every document of every oil change, tire balance, brake rotor/pad change, etc. I was just wondering if anybody knew anything about imports here. I have no idea what to look for, what brands are good for wheels, etc. Im not going to "rice" it out if I get it. It will most likely be tint, wheels, lower and a jdm cf front lip.

Funny that you posted something like this bcuz my girl she just got a 96 teg with 230k tho...SO if your getting one with 40k thats a good buy!
So she wants it to look nice too...and with those cars im all about the oem look..acura makes a nice set of spoke rims..think they came on the specials idk. and that frnt spoiler your talkin about will look clean..its not a mustang tho so with engine work look out a crazy mess

I am not much for those cars, but like he said ^ that is really low miles for that car. Those things go at least 150k to 200k pretty easy without having anything major done other then maybe a timing belt at 70 or 80k or so. Great DD for sure.

I know it wont make alot of power, but I dont want a dog either. Im not a big fan of that exhaust note though, Im trying to find something that sounds decent. I heard borla xr-1 mufflers sound good on them, but I dont know.

As long as it's not too ricer / bumble bee sound, other wise you will have to deal with these three stooges....LMFAO

No dont do that man..no mufflers..if anything do a swap..best power for those cars...Is it a vtec?

Alright well like said b4 its a great DD..and gas right...Is insane..4 bucks? wtf!...so if you do get it..Let me know, I dont mind trying to help you out fixing it up

I dont know much about imports, they seem confusing. There's alot of numbers and letters and shit lol whats the difference between an LS and GSR, etc?

gsr just means it has the 1.8l vtec motor...and a ls is just a 1.8l non vtec..Vtecs are more powerful at 180hp and non 1.8s at 140

A b motor swap is st8 forward...swap and go..But get more into k20 motors ( rsx ) or the h22s you"ll run onto issues

The non-vtec motors can handle boost fine but if I was you and you wanted to make decent power, a GSR swap will pull on most stockish Mustangs. I got my ass handed to me by my buddies hatch with a GSR swap with my car having exhaust and 4.10s. He put a eBay turbo kit on it last year and made 230hp to the wheels and he's looking to do a few mods and get it retuned with more boost.

Yeah check it out...And look into Ls/vtecs if its NOT already a vtec motor...Thats taking either a b2.0L ( little more tourqe ) or b1.8L non vtec block with a vtec head...They make good power...at a stock level..And all you change is the ecu to a gsr if its an Ls teg

Yea, these Hondas are east as shit to work on and cheap as hell too. I've got a few buddies into them and I don't think there's anything that's not within arms reach under the hood.
