went out to take a drive to a car show/cruise in tonight and while I was getting gas I bumped into a buddy of mine. He has an audi a4 bi-turbo and has been itchin to race me since I did the Trick flow HCI swap. I told him I still wasn't gonna race since it has not been on the dyno to tune it and he understood but wanted to hear me get on it on the way out. Well that didn't seem like such a big deal so after straightening her out from the left hander I floored it. I was around the 2k mark in 1rst, it never even started to grip and broke traction till I clutched for 2nd. I got back on it hard in 2nd and it again started to spin and drift a little left. Finally top of 2nd it caught thankfully and I was gone and chirped 3rd and of course then after slowing down we passed a trooper in the other direction.... He caught up and asked what I shifted at at and I had to tell him I had no idea I was tryin to keep it straight....

I know for the high horse power cars that we have here it is no big deal but it was nice to get on her for the first time since the HCI swap and not be dissapointed. I will one day have a turbo on that car and think back at this story and laugh but till then it is what it is.

Anyone else have any stories or bullshit to tell?

Took an old friend for a spin in my car for the first time since the swap. It was raining.

I just would get it a little bit and kick the car sideways (not while people were around) and she was amazed haha. As you said, my numbers are nothing compared to most of these cars, but there is power all the time, and certainly not a snail like it was from the factory.

I guess I don't understand that. you guys look forward to summer, here in florida, we look forward to winter. best time for the cars.

our winters are like your spring, we sit in the 50's for the most part lol

I'd hate to live where I can't drive my car year round! I agree the weather is getting better; we're in the 90's it's just great!

it's easy to understand, Florida is hot as balls in the summer which is why you guys don't like it. The summers in upstate NY are in the 80s/low 90s most days. And winters, well I think it's obvious why we don't like it.

I babied one tank of gas through it and it is actually not running all that badley or I would not be. It doesn't like runnin much under 1500 rpms or it will start to buck a little but it is idleing nicely, just a tad high. Now I learned last night how much it liked over 3krpms and it seemed pretty happy there....
