I don't think they will fit. You can find some for cheap from a junkyard though.

thats a brilliant idea.

Not very original...just old!

On race cars, I safety wire everything!

A guy watched me change gears in a car at Riverside, then asked "How come you wired the fill plug?"

I said "Well, I've never lost one."

30 minutes later he's drilling his for wire!!!

Yes. that is how foxes are converted to 5 lug. You take the Axles, caliper brackets, anti-moan brackets, rotors, calipers and
brake lines off your 7.5" and transfer them to the 8.8". Even though the Axle housing, and traction lock and gears are different,
94-98 gt(8.8) and v6 (7.5) use the same parts, and as long as you swap all of the previously listed 7.5 parts into a 8.8 (87-98)
then you are set to go. The 94-98 8.8" axles are .75" longer than the 87-93 8.8", but the caliper brackets and disc brake
components compensate for it.

If you use safety wire, make sure you use 0.032, not the .0.022, it wont hold.

well i bought a rear... a buddy of my boss' just bought a 97 gt and decided he wanted to part it out, so my boss bought me a 8.8 with 3.27s. Not what i really wanted but itll do and the highway driving will be nice again. So ill put it in either tomorrow or on saturday. Ill get pics of the old rear as it comes out lol.

Could I get the 3.27 gears when you swap? That is really close to the optimum ratio for what I do with my car.

rears in... my buddy is buying my 4.10s if they arent fucked up... and mikey, ill take like 25 for them plus shipping depending on how far you are. I really dont like the 3.27s, but like i said before, highway driving is sooooo nice. lol. The rear swap was super easy to, only took me and another guy like 1.5 hours to do it. my speedo is messed up still... anyone know the dallas speedcal setting for a 99+ tranny, 8.8 rear with 3.27s?
