What does the kit come with?
What numbers are you putting down?
How much was your install + Tune?
If you had your $$$$ back, would you go the same route?
Anyone have pictures?
basically any info that someone would like to share.....

well install on these kits is pretty straight forward and isn't too bad at all and i'd recommend just installing it yourself.. i think most guys with these kits are making 350-450 range depending on mods and then how big your balls are if you've not got a built block...

Your biggest cost is a dyno tune most tuners with the purchase of a tuner will give you a free tune i bought my own tuner and it cost about 210 i think for dyno time and my tune but all tuners are different.

I went with a procharger because their kits have intercoolers and yes they cost more but i prefer their kits over vortech kits and it's just a personal thing and everyone on here will tell you something different and in the end it's what you can afford because regardless a supercharger is going to make power...

kit comes with a high flow pump probably the vortech inline pump i didn't look into it that much but there is no intercooler that is included in that kit. like i said depending on the tune and the size of s/c pulley you go with depends on power out put on a stock block i wouldn't go over 400 hp and if you do it just needs to be a really good conservative tune..

also not included in the kit is injectors (looks like they are not included)

I'm thinking i'll be fine if i stay at or under 8 psi (without intercooler) & (without built block) .... basically stock everything
I have thought about purchasing the livernois pi intake swap.... direct swap for 500$ and I wont have to worry about plastic npi cracking in the future.

Will I need injectors?

I've realized i'll never make the most power, or be the fastest out there, but making 350hp (i feel) puts me in a decent position to run okay numbers and have a car that will still be reliable.

I got my 98 gt for under 7grand with 35k on the clock..... with mods iv already purchased and this potential next set of mods, id have a decent car (imo) for under 16 grand..... how many people can say they have spent this on their car + mods total.....

This thread makes me :)

I would not install the FMU however - I'd go with 42lb. Lightning injectors and the later Lightning 90mm MAF. Everyone and their mother has tuned with these, and it's a lot better solution than using a rising-rate fuel pressure regulator (FMU). Pressure is not the same as volume.

I would call them and see if that pump is an inline unit or an in tank, the 98s have the weird fuel system.

I would pay about $500 to get this all installed ;)

Which pump would i need....?

and what makes the system weird?

And where is the MAF located? Ive seen the pictures of the kit and dont seem to be able to find it.... maybe in the fenderwell?

In your pic, it's not there but follow the black tube, the S/C inlet.

Without getting too complicated, you can't just put a standard Walbro 255lph (GSS342) in a 98 fuel system. You can in a 96-97 because the PCM just sends it +12V all the time. In 98, they move to PWM (pulse width modulation). It does send +12V still to the pump, but it doesn't send it full time, it sort of hits it with a frequency. This frequency can burn out a pump designed for +12V run full time. The easiest way to upgrade the pumps is to go with a larger-flow OEM ford unit set up for PWM - Focus, Avaiator, 03-04 cobra dual pumps, etc. This is where you get into a lot of the upgraded FPDM (fuel pump driver module) units in the new cars.

For your application, the absolute easiest, direct-drop in way of doing it is to go with a Aviator pump. 42s, 90mm MAF, and Aviator pump is an easy tune for just about anybody with good driveability and will support the power you have now @ 8psi and allow room to grow up to around 400whp, give or take.
