Today i found an 06 F350 PSD at a dealership for sale for $11k, that caught my attention right away. looks like a nice truck, has 211k miles. When you start it up i didnt smoke at all, i revved it a little bit, and my girlfriend said that it blew some white smoke. i took it for a drive and it drove nice, had a check engine light and ABS light on though. i stopped for a minute and walked around it, i smelled some antifreeze. anyone have any idea why the truck blew white smoke and smelled like antifreeze? thanks.

here is the truck

It either has a blown headgasket,

or a blown EGR and oil cooler.

Do yourself a favor and walk away. Either one are 3K dollar jobs.

yes just what he said! my EGR and oilcooler went out and it was a 2,300 job... plus WAY too much money for the miles ( and yes i know diesels go wayyyy longer). i bought my dually for 13k and it had 100,000. its fully loaded too. that truck is sure sexy though

the 6.0s have really bad issues with lifting the heads thats prolly why your smelling the antifreeze. they are good motors after you put head studs and do an EGR delete.

very true! its about a 5,000 job. its the labor that makes it so expensive, because you have to lift the cab off the trucks frame. if your interested on buying one though, buy one with this done and have paper work to prove it
