I have that Fiore quadrant and the adjustment is a piece of cake! Very much worth the money.

You have to slightly modify the OEM ford clutch cable. The instructions are very clear. To my knowledge, Fiore Racing stopped producing these parts a couple years ago. I purchased mine directly from them 2 mos. prior. You'll have to do a search to find them. Runs about $90. Adjuster & quad sold seperately.

Very nice pieces!

Really, I don't remember mine even coming with a spring. You don't even have to remove the cable from the car. I had the quad installed, the cable mod done and the adjuster in place and adjusted in less than 1 hour. 1st one I've ever installed.

I've never had to re-adjust the clutch in almost 3 years.

I went back to my box that this kit was shipped in. ( I keep all OEM parts from each mod.) There was no spring in my kit and there is no mention of the spring in the instructions. I have no idea what the spring is for. My kit invoice is dated 11/6/06. :dontknow:

i think he just put random parts on a box to make us all go crazy. lol.

the stock set up has 2 springs. one for each of the 2 piece set up.

This is the first aftermarket set up with a spring that Ive ever seen. I cant even imagine what its for... its too big to go on the clutch-fork end of the cable. That is clearly a firewall adjuster, so that rules out the firewall area. All thats left is the petal and the shaft from the petal to above the accelorator petal and the quadrant itself.

Perhaps it is placed against the interior firewall and the quadrant and is used to keep presure on the cable at all times. It may be somehow adjustable with that firewall adjuster... it may help prevent your cable from slipping off the fork/quadrant.

i dono though. thats honestly my best guess. otherwise a spring accidently fell in the box before shipping... or one of the chinese kids that built that kit though "this will be funny.. i bet it will sure fool some crazy white westerner."

Pretty sure that spring goes on the end of the cable in the trans, and goes again the clutch fork to keep tension on the cable.

Nope....
I bought mine just before they stopped production. (Feb. '07 I think) The parts were mfgr'd in S. Carolina as listed below. The Pres./owner of the company actually designed these parts himself. He de-burred and finished/tested each quad and adjuster by hand. You will never see any sharp edges on these quad's to rip up your clutch cable. The parts that are available at places like Atomic Performance & Lethal Performance are all that's left.

NO Chinese!
