I just traded my black leather seats for an AODE with 60k miles on it. It came with a torque converter that the guy said may be aftermarket. Is there any way to tell? Also, what can I do to make the trans handle a little more, shift better and just be an all around good trans?

For starters get a shift kit. I'm happy with my Transgo HD2. Short of a rebuild nothing else you you can do except change the differential gears to 3:73 or higher. However, the shift kit should put a grin on your face.

dont waste your money on a shift kit. Just jmod it. all it costs you is the gaskets and drill bits.
