Because they can fit more in the direct without doing any machine work, thus being able to say the have a high clutch count without doing any actual work lol

Do I need to worry? Their Competiton AODE which I have all the internals of is rated at 700 HP..

No, as long as your shifts are quick and firm, the altos will be ok.

I wouldn't try to put 700 hp to it though, lol. That's right near to point where the splines inside the direct drum itself get ripped out.

I have no plans for that at all...lol I just wanted a trans that would last.

I have a Karl Baumann Valve Body that is set to the max level which is 5. Car shifts nice and hard, even harder at full throttle.

I found out today what was causing the high idle speed. It was the TPS! And, quess what? the transmission is working fine! Now the car runs like a chanp. :thumbsup: Who would've ever thought that a $45 sensor would cause such headaxhes!
I'll save up some $ just in case, because I believe this was just a warning from the car. I'll change the oil & filter just to be sure and put the big oil cooler.
