As Im driving my clutch pedal fell to the floor, need help quick! D:

I was going for a 2nd-3rd gear change down my street this morning when all of the sudden I hear a pop and my clutch loses all of its tension and just falls to the floor. Now I can move it around with my hand very easily. Its a king cobra clutch if it makes a difference. Anyone have a clue what just happened?

sounds like a snapped cable to me.

Is it an aftermarket cable? My adj cable just came apart on me on my way to work in the same fashion. I just reinstalled the factory cable on the aftermarket quadrent.

Sound like the cable. Spend the money and buy a replacement from Maximum motorsprts. It's worth the $ to buy a GOOD clutch cable. There is a difference MM has the best. I have that w/ the upr triple hook and they Click type firewall adjuster. AWESOME.

Had that happen. Snapped the cable.

Alright, thanks for the help guys. Now to learn how to change a clutch cable I guess. I can see how it would snap, my clutch is very hard to push down and I do it fast a lot.

Funny thing is that the cable that came apart on me was from MM.....only a month old. CJ's took care of me on it though.

I've always heard to use OEM Ford cables, MM does sell OEM ones.

OEM ford cable, DOIT.

OEM cable, and they are not that hard to change. Takes about an hour or so.

Beats me, all I know is mine came apart.....went back to the one that was in the car from the factory, mounted on the 2nd hook of my triple hook quadrent.
