auto or manual?

i cant decide what i wanna go w/ when i do the 5.4 swap w/ turbo..i like the fact that w/ a manual u can shift when u want to, but i also like that w/ a stalled and geared auto, they can be pretty quick

what do u guys think i should do?

A turbo car is much easier to drive at the track with a stall and a transbrake.

sry i forgot to mention that this is going to be strictly a street car...closest track is 1 1/2 hrs away

It's still easier to build boost in an auto, I never once wished my GN was a manual.

thats true. Turbo cars needs auto in my opinion. Plus that 5.4's torque is a monster and a good auto will hold it where a slighty modded or king kobra klutch will not... Trust me, stick with the auto. plus it will be repeatable

Nothing is more fun that a 5speed, but the auto will fit the turbo application better.

You use the correct gear ratio, get a built transmission and the right stalled converter very few will be able to compete with a standard versus your auto. The computer can be fine tuned to shift at whatever rpm you want, and if not you can shift it manually or hell get you a B&M hammer shifter then youll really be set!!!
