Average gains?

About to order my cams next week. Just curious, what gains should I expect with Tim from MPH custom grind cams/springs/degreed/dyno tuned? The cams will be custom grind NON PI S/C cams.

I see you getting over the 400 whp mark. Easily.

I would love to see 410rwhp < 40rwhp gain, reasonable?

How aggressive is MPH going with the cams? I know Tim's cams make HUGE power. I think he has even made huge power on stock head 4.6 2V's with the only upgrade being the blower and his cams. But to answer your question, yes 40 HP is not unreasonable. Especially since you have a blower

Well Tim won't tell me his specs until he actually grinds them, which makes sense. I as well will be running stock 4.6 non pi heads.

I think you will be very happy with your results. Tim has a sticky on MPH's forums about his cams. I think you will see 400 easy and then some. Did you ever get back with the shop that is going to do your install about the price of the install?

Pretty easy 30 rwhp gain there. I picked up 23 with ported PI's and a Novi 2200 over VT stage II sc cams.

So the shop i go to (big daddy performance) emails me a final quote of installing/degreeing/retuning the car. $2400 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1


I just laughed. I talked to another shop by me and he quoted me $1200 for install/degree. So im going to have them install the cams/springs. Then ill take my car to my shop to have it dyno tuned. thats the game plan.

Did big daddy include a tube of KY with that quote too? Seems to me they don't really want to do the work. Almost like JR not wanting to sell his Cobra and asked a huge amount for it and the sucker agreed to pay.

I hear ya man. I am a computer nerd by profession and folks at work always want me to look at their computers for them. I tell them that I am expensive cause I really don't want to deal with them calling me at all hours to come work on their machines. I tell them I charge 80 bucks an hour.
