back fire when shitfting

well my car is a 97 gt

mods
k&n intake
c&l plenum elbow
under drive pulleys
ram air
full 2.5 exhaust catless with flows
egr delete
3.73 clogs
aic restrictor plate
well when i shift usually i get this loud back fire with flames coming out .

3 people have told me (and are mechanics ) that my car is leaning out . is this true . have any one of you have experienced this

check ALL plugs for abnormalities. a haynes manual has a chart for checking them for soot and deposit color. with that, check the gapping in the plugs.

i have the same except egr delete. i dont experience that. intriguing.

well i was told to re-install the egr. im gonna take the plate off and see ho it works .

all this was whne i was racing at the track .. got really bad times , i know i can do better , 15.00 at 99mph with 2.46 60ft

Backfires are because your running rich.

well after 2 days of flogin the car and taking the plate off it stoped backfiring. so i guess it was egr related.
