Battery gauge not working in dash ??

For some reason the charge/battery gauge isn't working in my dash, im trying to find where the wires lead to with no luck, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Is the alt actually working? What is the voltage output?
What engine do you have?

the guage cluster runs into the dash harness. You'll never "track" those wires down without taking the dash out and un-assembling the harness.
