I've noticed that the car has a harder time starting due to the fact that my battery isn't as charged as it was when I was NPI does the PI motor draw more juice from the battery? I mean it's not a expensive battery it doesn't even have a brand name on it haha. My battery gauge shows im between the O on NORMAL.
What gives?

Hmm, they're supposed to be the same alternator. Only thing I can think of is that you have a bad ground somewhere or the alternator randomly decided to konk out.

It's been like this since the swap, battery hasn't died yet and it hasn't dropped any more

what is the alt puting out? Should be about 14.5 vdc at any RPM.

It might also be a loose or corroded cable on the starter or at the battery

^exactly. Either one of your cables or terminals needs attention or it is simply your battery or alt deciding it is time to go. Start with the terminals since they are the easiest. I assume you disconnected the battery during your swap, maybe they just aren't tight.

1st thing to check, get the actual volts using a multimeter before starting and at idle. This way you can narrow it down to battery itself or charging. The dash gauge is barely any better then a dummy light.

Check the charging voltage. Over 13.0 the don't even worry about it.

Your relying on the crappie at guages ever made. Measure and check!

Use a multimeter, not seat of your pants. They are free at harbor freight with the coupon and any purchase. Just buy a roll of electrical tape and you have a free meter that's perfect for checking this at the alt and at the battery.
