ok. So I was given free of charge a 94-95 sn95 specific CIA. Attached to the CIA is a chrome MAF housing with no markings on it. It has the plastic metering tube sim to a Pro M however this MAF is using the ford factory electronics. Im figuring id like to use the maf because it looks a heck of allot better than my factory one however if in the past the electronics had been swapped out for some reason it and factory ones fitted..Well then it cant be any good to me. OR was there ever at some point in the past a bbk MAF that reused factory electronics?

It was off a 94 stang with 19lb injectors that ran very strong

Thanks all

Thats what im trying to figure out. If they did that or not. Its definitely the factory MAF sensor electronics for my 94 GT. It just has absolutely no markings

Even pro m uses "factory" MAF sensor they just calibrate this. If your using stock injectors I don't think it will make any difference. I would say use it!

Well using the stock MAF is my alternative. I pulled this of my friends running car. It was on their for years. If I dont find someone saying..OH YAH BBK sold the chrome housing along with the CAI back in the day..Then yah I will just use my factory..Its not a matter of performance just looks. I could also hook up my wide band and see if anything goes kooky AFR wise

when I took my car to the tuner the first time I had just installed a pro-m maf that I got on craigslist for a good deal. he saw it and just started shaking his head and said I would have been better of with the stock maf as the weighted maf just are not as good for tuning. I told him I had the stock maf in the trunk and he told me to grab it. He took teh two tamper-proof torx screws out of the pro-m and carefully took out the electronics and put it on the side. He then removed the stock electronics, and then put it in the pro-m maf and tightened down the screws. He said that was teh best of both worlds and then stuck it back in there.

Not hear In/Ky are ya?

No I'm in NY. I guess I could give this a whirl and use the factory transfer functin and see how my AFR is across the rpm range. If its not to off I can always adjust. Just trying to get everything in order before I rip the car apart.
