I cannot stand this thing right now cause there is shit all over it, i think maybe tree sap, this thing was sitting for a bit and it just got misused. i just want tog et this thing lookin nice cause its probably going to go up 4 sale soon this summer when i get my blower :dancing6: SO if anyone knows any way of removing powdercoating lemme know. :TY:

If you're going to sell it why go through all the trouble of stripping and polishing it? Just prep it and spray paint it, should look really nice. I'm very happy with how mine came out.

1. sweet ill check that out. you thinkg a quart would be suffucient?

2. the reason i want to clean it up is because i want it to look nice cause it is going to replace the one i have now on my car, which looks nasty as well. so i figure just take some time on it now, that and if and when i do decide to get rid of it polished intakes get a tad bit more as far as sale price goes. that and im a sadist and i like chrome haha :whip:

Yes, I think a quart would definitely do it.

You'll want to have the intake polished by a professional. It's pretty hard to do an intake at home. You need a pretty serious buff motor (like 2+ hp) to get the kind of finish the pros have, plus it's just not easy. If you want the shine to last, have it clear powdercoated afterward. Or chrome it. I have a chrome intake and I love it. All I need is windex and 30 seconds and I'm done.
