I have an automatic. and i drive quite a bit during the day. A couple times a day I like to put the shifter down to first, give 'er some gas and shift to second. Most of the time at 3/4 throttle, I get a chirp from the tires. Then continue on to move to third, etc. I kinda like that. Anyway, my question is, is that bad for my tranny that I do that? Dunno why it would be but just in case. Just got my license so I don't want tranny repairs yet.

Funny story, I had an auto in my first car -- an '87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. I blew that sucker power-braking about 4 hours after I got my license.
