belt squeel!

alright. my 94 gt is a belt eater. the belt wont squeel for a while with a new belt then it wears out the edge of the belt and its the most annoying sqeel ever. is there suposto be a spacer between the tensioner and bracket? also i have a smog delete but no idle wheel in its place

You say it's wearing around the edge? I'm guessing one or more of your pulleys aren't aligned.

the only one out of wack it the tensioner.

The only one that really moves is the power steering pulley.. the tensioner is smooth so I don't see wearing anything out. If that was the issue the belt would slip off. You can replace the tensioner it might be on its way out.. your smog delete could also be out of wack

the powerstearing isnt out of wack. ill check it but i dont think thats it. is there a washer that goes behind the tensioner? and its new

Mine squealed because the idler pulley was bad..have you checked that?
