bend spark plug

so i was racing a cocky 6.o goat that was cammed and bolt ons well we raced and i was a car and a half ahead of him and when i was around 5500rpms o third gear my car gave up it started running on seven cylinders so i got home pulled the spark plugs and one of them was been hit the tip of the spark plug was hit and bend down, so right now its a mystery what might of got in there at that cylinder, i put a new spark plug it runs fine but it still smokes a lil at full throttle.. if guys got any ideas what happen let me knoiw

those goats are slow....... i beat one on my bike... it had an LS1 swap yo.




on a serious note, monitor that spark plug very closely. id (persoanlly) check it everyday, but do it at least every fill up.

Paxton novi full boltons blower cams pi manifold 373 gears, the one I raced was a ls2 goat, but you guys have any ideas my spark plug got the tip bend shut

Something hit it, for sure. dunno what, but check your blower impeller, air filter and intake.

same thing happened to me, except my car was bone stock npi and it happened around 4600rpm. It was a minor detonation in my case, just enough to close the gap in the plug. I got home, regapped it and put it back in and the problem was solved. Your car has been tuned before, right? it sounds like something may be wrong in the a/f or timing department. IDK..

Yea I agree cause when i'm at full throotle I'm at 11.6 a/f and cruzing I'm at 14.8 and up

thats right where you need to be.. check your entire ignition inside and out.

Cruising lean will not hurt the motor, there is very little load on the engine, so it wont detonate or anything. as long as med. load (pulling off from a stoplight, keeping up with traffic, going down an on ramp 1/2 throttle, etc) and WOT full load is spot on, there are no worries.
