Hey guys, im just trying to figure out what cam would be the best for me. I was thinking a steeda #19?? I want a decent street cam that will be ok with my computer. Later on im going to go with some tfs twisted wedge heads.

Also.. what is the exact difference between the 94-95 cobra cams, and a fms e-303 cam??? ::D

It's a totally different cam altogether.

The Steeda #19 works well with SN95 computers.

Personally get the heads, then cam later. Stock heads with a cam is going to be minimal hp gains like 7-12. Yeah the Steeda #19 is a very user friendly cam.

i would go steeda and make a gt40 head package if you are on a budget, i picked up a set of ported gt40 heads recently rebuilt with new double springs for $500, steeda #19 cam $200 and 1.6 ford roller rockers and hardened pushrods for $140 so in total i paid $840 for a basic but decent package. Just have to look around for some deals. If you are gonna do a cam, do the heads as well, dont do it half now and half later. Save up and do it in one shot and right, you will be thankful you did.

Lift, duration, lobe seperation, overlap etc are all different.

well he already has gt40's since his car is a cobra.I'm not sure if much power is to be had on unported gt40's on the cobra cam as I have no experience with it. But I know if you port them heads with upgraded spings with a steeda 19 you'll see a nice power gain. Maybe even a TFS stage 2

If i were to throw a #19 cam in, do you install new cam bearings at the same time?

I'm making fairly big power with the stock cobra cam, safe and still pulling horsepower at 6000rpm.
