Alright so tonight on my way home this Buick regal supercharged starts playing with me I toy with him a bit and find out he's got a smaller pulley and a badass exhaust, needless to say this thing was a total sleeper, after playing back and fourth he finally catches up with me and we slow down to 60mph I shift down to 3rd I hear him shift down we gave three honks and we were off! I immediately got half a car on him and was watching my rev go up to 5500 then I shifted perfectly and pulled another 1/4 on him I look down at his car and I can hear that supercharger screaming but we were staying pretty even, I watched my RPMs once again get to 5500 I shifted to fifth next thing I knew im doing 140Mph and at this point he's a full car behind me.
He finally let off guess he gave in and realized I don't have no NPI under the hood ;-)
By far the most fun I had my adrenaline was cooking!!! My gas foot was just bouncing off the pedal!

But nah street racing is bad, I'll admit it scared the shit out of me. Time for new brakes.

Hah nice kill. I always say that a SN95 with a GT 4.6L badge on it is one of the biggest sleepers out there and it is true. All sorts of idiots will race you, at least this guy had some sort of decent setup. I had some ghetto 300C revving on me the other day at a light. Put at least 4 or 5 car lengths on him before he got going...

And +1 for good brakes. I pegged the 160mph speedo in my Cobra once and only once as slowing down was scary and that was with newly done Cobra brakes...

Yes after tonight I realized it's time for some good brakes, after having to brake hard and feeling my brakes shutter im upgrading! Haha I'd rather smell burning rubber than burning brakes

Don't do anything overboard on the brakes, just get a new set of rotors (f&r), some PBR twin piston calipers (stockers in the rear are fine), and some good pads. Carbotech, Hawk, EBC, or Porterfield.

Now for 'dad' voice:
140 on a public road, really. You cold have killed someone. :)

Oh, and do a complete flush on the brake fluid. Some part-store synthetic stuff is fine.

Sweet thanks rich!

But daaaaaddddd!! He was supercharged!

Lol I know trust me it scared me enough to probably never do it again after I got home I was thinking of all the possibilities that could have happened, I think the track is where im keeping my lead foot at from now on

My point is that the drag race section is for discussion of drag racing as it pertains to the track. Asking for advise and technique of how to improve times, or to post new times and such. Not to post ya bro I had this cool street race last night type discussion which has nothing to do with actual drag racing. A drag race starts at 0 MPH, you hardly had a drag race. Notice how it says 1/4 and 1/8 mile for this section. It would pertain to the track. Very doubtful your car does 140 in either so its a moot point.

Not to rain on your parade but the drag race section refers to track racing, not street racing.

Sorry about that, musta still been sleeping this morning. I usualy move street dumbness threads out of the race section.

... Here ya go WalkingTall, in your court. :)

Whatever you say I know what I saw, and 140 is very possible on a PI motor.

I'd have no problem go from a dig, it was just kinda convenient lol
