I was wondering which intake would be best for a 331ci? My current set up is going to be 331 w/ AFR 185s, Ed Curtis cam, bbk headers, magna flow exhaust, I am going to use 42lb injectors & a 90mm lightining mass air. Everything is going to get tuned once done. My current intake is a Cobra intake. What do you guys think would work better with my combo? I know that this intake will hold me back some. Some of people tell me to go with Holly systemax, edelbrock RPM 2, Trick flow. I am stuck and dont know what to go with. I do plan on adding a Novi 2K once the engine is properly broken in. All suggestions are welcome if you have this combo please help me out! Thanks in advance

It really depends on a few things..

1.) What are your goals?

2.) Do you have to deal with Emissions? Victor 5.0 is not for emission based cars.

I would do the Victor 5.0 if your really looking to make big numbers..Then the Edelbrock Performer RPM II or Systemax II - all depends on your wallet.

Personally, I would do the Edelbrock Performer RPM II.

yes, I do have to worry about emissions thanks for the heads up! I looked up the RPM 2 its $637 at summit. Anyone know a place online where its any cheaper? I guess I have to "pay the band to dance", huh? :hammer: Anyways how much power should I expect from this combo.

The Systemax II is a proven power maker and is cheaper..

See if you can get a Performer RPM II or Systemax II used.

As far as powerwise...

331 w/ AFR 185s, Ed Curtis cam, bbk headers, magnaflow exhaust, I am going to use 42lb injectors & a 90mm lightining mass air.

What is the compression of the motor? Are you running a manual or auto? BBK's are long tubes or shorty's?

Why are you going with such large injectors...you should be fine with 30's or 36's.

I will look for a used intake. The reason for the large injectors is that I plan on putting on a Novi 2K on this car in the next few months. I am planning ahead so when that time comes I am ready. The comp on the engine is 8.5:1 leaves room for supercharger.

8.5 compression...

I'm gonna say you'll be around 350-360rwhp - give or take a little.
