Biggest Regrets and Worst Mods + Best Mods

A saw a thread like this on the corral, so I figured I'd start one over here.

What do you regret doing or not doing to your car the most? What mods do you wish you never wasted your time and money on? What is/are some of the best, most beneficial mods you have done? Explain

My regrets:

1. Not going with a custom cam
2. Not buying a stronger transmission the first time
3. Proform Roller Rockers (too noisey, broke a roller tip)
4. Cheap machine shop crank chamfer (cost me an engine rebuild)

Best mod by far:

Trick Flow aluminum heads; I had tons of cooling issues before. Now my car never even tries to overheat and the horsepower gain was very noticable

1. Not buying a Cobra
2. Not buying a modular midpipe
3. Buying heavy wheels

Exhaust. Catted X to LM1's makes me smile just like handz...except mine is louder and legal

My exhaust would be one of the best mods, but it was on the car when i bought it, so it doesnt count

but i agree, off road mid-pipes are the shit, makes me smile everytime i drive

Regrets:
Starting with a catted h-pipe ended up switching for an off road.(250 dollars I could have saved)
Should have bought 03 Cobra wheels instead of the 95's.

Best:
O/R h-pipe & Cobra upper and lower.
But at the end of summer that will prolly chage thanks to a H/C/I 306 and some giggle gas. :dancing6:

Best mod -- Having the first things done to the car be a PI cam and intake swap with gears at the same time.
worst regret -- Still kinda wish I found a decent priced cobra and starting to think I should have gotten a 94/95 due to how much more I know about the 5.0. I also wish I didn't have two sets of wheels in my backyard that I can't seem to get rid of. 96 ponies and 98 cobras

worst regret- not getting a complete catback from the beginning
best mod- without a question the mod i thought was wasting money, has been my favorite over everything else, my pro 5.0 shifter!!!!! YES i like it even more than my exhaust.

Best- Going for the PI intake to replace my stocker. Also the manifold-back exhaust, Pypes Race Pro with catted X replaced BBK X and Flowmaster 40's. (It's a little too quiet now)

Regrets- They say you shouldn't have any. Riiiiight... Should have waited for a nicer, lower-mile GT to come across. I'm into mine an absurd amount of money just on maintenance/repairs
