What do you have your plugs gapped at?

Yes you can use your stock distibutor. Infact, the stock distributor will go a looong way.

btw..Mallory > MSD

Yes no need to upgrade distributor, but look into a hyfire 6 ingnition. It will solve your problem along with checking that gap.

why do you say its blowing out the spark? is it a miss you're feeling?

i would check into fuel volume / pressure. my bet is that its running out of fuel, or running the injectors dry. the plugs gapped between 30-35 should be fine for 9psi.

whats the entire setup?

get a better ignition coil with msd or mallory box...Check spark duration and timing for the higher rpms on your tune as well...Good Luck

msd maskes a plug and play harness for 20 or 30 bucks. plug one side into coil, other into car plug for coil, and match up the wire colors from the new harness to the 6al.
