Okay guys. Tell me does this sort of thing happen on our cars? Or is there a underlying problem here? This happened on my drive home. I heard a pop and saw the smoke. I just figured a hose blew out.

I did a compression check and it went as follows.

Cyl #1 142
Cyl #2 0
Cyl #3 139
Cyl #4 110
Cyl #5 120
Cyl #6 121
Cyl #7 120
Cyl #8 115

I checked Cyl #2 three times before moving on. Something let loose in that cylinder. Until I pull it apart. I dont know what.

DAMN MAN sorry to hear about this. I just finally replaced my radiator after a year of leaking. I got one from RockAuto for 83 shipped BRAND NEW. If you need any help i am sure i can get up there since my girls parents live in New Kent and give you a hand. The Stang drives again with that new radiator and HB :)

Yeah, probably. So what to do until then.

well you can't drive it obviously. you should start taking it apart as there is probably coolant in the oil and a puddle in that cylinder. don't want to let it corrode the cylinder wall

LOL, I'm sorry guys. I should have been more clear. I mean what to drive until I get it fixed. My wife is all sorts of mad and she is not kind to me taking the van. I've been hitching rides with co-workers. But that wont last forever. I really dont have the funds to fix the car AND buy another one. So I'm really feeling pinched.
The tear down will begin when I get back from Michigan. So until then it sits. Waiting. Maybe the elves will come out of the woods around my house and fix it while I'm gone. Of course maybe Santa Claus will be sitting on my porch eating a Popsicle when I get back from Michigan too.
