OK guys I picked up a O.E.M cobra bumper. Well on the top part right between the head lights under the running horse there is a small nickel size gouge. What would be the easiest and most effective way to fix it?
Yea its not a hole all the way through. Its probably not even a 1/4 inch deep... I was thinking I could just use some bondo to fill it in and sand it down to smooth again..
Don't use bondo or fiberglass. The company bondo makes a filler for fixing plastic. It is a plastic filler made for plastic. It works great and only cost about $5 dollars for 2 small tubers that should be able to fix your bumper, because I too am about fix a cobra front bumper. You can probably get them at napa, advanced auto, or autozone.
Yes, I bought some a few days ago, and my dad used all of it trying to fix some plastic parts on his 1971 torino, thats how I know it works, but now I have to go buy some more.
The package is small, and it has the usual company name Bondo, on it. You might even be able to get it at Wal-Mart, but that I'm not sure about.
I am looking on Autozone website and I see a couple little tubes of Bondo that look a little diff.. You wouldnt happen to know the part# would you.. I am looking at part# 907 but want to make sure..
