Just wondering if any of you guys had troubles with your BOI smoked headlights and their fitment.

The passenger side has a small gap between the corner and the headlight but vertically they line up perfectly. On the drivers side, the headlight and corner sit flush but the corner is about 1/2 too high and they don't line up very well.

Oh and FYI the adhesive they used to hold the rubber trim piece on didn't work for ****. It was already falling off when I got them.

Don't mind the dirty ass car

Re: BOI smoked headlight fitment issues

I had no fitment issues with mine I just installed them a couple weeks ago. Go around your car and check out the body gaps. check the distance between your hood and fenders on both sides and then check the distance of the gaps between your doors and fenders. That will show you if something is not lined up correctly. Also your bumper may not be tight where it should be check the mounting points....pop your hood and check where the radiator support is because the front bumper is only held on up there by push pins, maybe one is worn out or missing? also where your headlights slide in...headlight panel, could be cracked? Yeah my weather striping was too long so I trimed it and used super glue to hold it back on, it's been on there pretty good since then.

Well I mean I could take all of the body panels off and were the mounting points are on the lights... they don't line up with each other... I don't necessarily have a problem relative to the rest of the car.

BOI Headlight are hit or miss....plain and simple. Some from their batch come out good some are horrible. Good luck getting them to swap them out or get a refund. They refused when I had the same issue. So I ended up putting my stock corners back on. My issue was the rubber seal on the corner light was way off...it was not even close to matching up with the body. We bought our 96 GT with 11k miles and it has never been wrecked, so i know that it's not a body panel issue. BOI didn't even want me to send them pictures of the gap. Their customer service was horrible. Worst buying experience I've ever had. Too bad I gave them good feedback once it was shipped quickly to my door. Learned my lesson. Next set I get will be from Ford. My Local dealer still has stock replacements.

EDIT: Oh and I was told by the service rep at BOI that it's impossible to have a bad batch of corner lights. They come from a mold, so there is no way the rubber could be glued on wrong. I replied that I found it very hard to beleive that a Chines made headlight could be made without ever having any bad batch runs. Rep also asked me if I had my "head in my A$$" because there could be no way that it didn't fit. I never one cussed the guy, or came off as being rude, just wanted them to take a look at the pictures to see that the rubber strip was too high on the corner light. Good luck!
