Ok I just replaced my front pads about two months ago when my brakes started squeaking, i didnt replace the rotors right away because of cost but I just threw on a new pair of front rotors last weekend, it still squeaks loudly when under light or medium braking. Ive always heard that you need to change your pads and rotors at the same time or at least get the rotors turned but i dont think thats the reason they are squeaking. The pads wore fine, tons of bite on them as they are new. Anybody have any idea on what can cause this?

Thanks

no need to change the rotors unless they are too thin or to turn them unless there is something wrong and they are warped or scored(and still thick enough to turn and meet the min thickness). If you are changing your pads when you should be the rotors will last alot longer and should easily be able to do a few sets of pads per rotor.

I think some pads are just more prone to squeeking, but that's not necessarily to say there isn't something else going on. I wouldn't worry about it unless you notice abnormal wear, loss of braking power etc.
