Brembo rotors

juss ordered brembo drilled front rotors and pads..anyone had them ever?

no, but you cant really go wrong with brembo. friend had them on his 240sx, no problems at all (but then again, its a 240, not a mustang)

ive been driving the car since february when i bought it with the wrong /cheap brake pads. they dont fit the grooves in the bracket and the whole caliper rattles like crazy finallly getting rid of the noise. i think its gotten really bad cause i noticed the pedal travels is a lot more. juss bleed the brakes too. hopefully the master cylinder is not going. juss noticed it has a bleeder on it when i get the rotors and pads im gonna try to bleed some through there.

yeah, there should be a total of 6 places where you need to bleed the system from. one on each wheel and 2 on the master cylinder.

change the pads to the right ones (i still recomend Hawk pads) and bleed them out, see what it does.

i was gonna get hawk pads and frpp rotors but last minute i got those. tire rack pad the brembo pads at closeout from 89 to only 43 dollars thats y i went with them. i only seen one bleeder at the cylinder, ill check again to see if theres another. is there a specific order? i only bleed the wheels.

oh, ok, yeah, i would have done that too. i recently had to buy rear pads, and hawk wanted $80 for them, i got motorcraft ones for about $35.

as for the bleeder on the master cylinder, if you are talking about the one thats at the very back and at the top, DONT TOUCH IT!!!! thats not part of the master cylinder, thats part of the hydraboost system. open it and you will get power steering fluid coming out of it, not brake fluid. and if you open it, you would have to get it vacuum bleed.

the ones on the master cylinder are on the side, closest to the valve cover. there are two of them. for bleeding, you need to start at whatever bleeder is farthest away from the master cylinder, so it would be this order:

rear passanger caliper
rear drivers caliper
front passanger caliper
front drivers caliper
master cylinder valve closest to firewall (thats on the side of the master cylinder)
master cylinder valve closest to radiator

since i laready did the wheels ill juss do the master cylinder probably on thurs. got the rotors today but not the pads. i called tire rack and they said ups mishandled it and shipped them to new jersey so ill see them tom.

yeah, i would re-bleed them all when you change pads and rotors. its a good idea to do it then.

I have brembo drilled front rotors with the hawk ceramic pads, and there is most definetly a noticeable over stock, but then again, the car came with shitty pads and warped rotors sooo advance auto silvers would probably be better than what was on there.

The car also looked like this when I bought it, so as you can tell, it has had some work done to it by me, lol.

Never buy drilled rotors. They will crack if you use them at a track event. I don't even like slotted anymore for two reasons. 1) They eat up the rotors too fast and 2) Less surface area for contact with the pads.

Now are you running ebay drilled rotors or brembos?, Bc I have beaten the piss out of these in a track like braking situation and are sure as shit didn't crack.

he is talking about open tracking the car on a regular basis. drilled rotors will crack, but not on hard street applications. blank rotors or slotted rotors are the norm. for regular track use.
