broken fuel injectors

replacing my 19# injectors with 24# injectors in my 95 gt. while removing the stack injector found that the tip of the injector was missing. looked in the injector seat on the intake and found bits of the tip. do i have to remove the lower intake to look for the rest of the tip...FRIGGIN BUMMER!!!

so this has never happened to anyone or all the mechanics are already outside working on their projects

Use a vaccuum and suck up the fragments. Anything that already fell into the intake port is long gone, and a few bits of plastic aren't going to grenade your motor.

When i was changing the inj o rings on my 95 cobra i found the same problem. I got out what i could and said fuck it on the rest, it ended up being okay, i never had a problem. I took those out and in about 6-7 times and everytime a little bit would break off and i never had not a single issue. Im not saying this is the right thing to do but this is my experience

blew out the injector opening. fragments came out. said fuck the rest....24# injectors running fine. do i need to bump up the fuel pressure and/or timing?
