The car is a 1998, gt, automatic transmission.* Basic bolt on's witch ones work witch don't* -Cai. -Throttle body/upper plenum. -Shorty headers. -O/r mid pipe. -Cat back exhaust. more in depth engine. -Pi heads and cams from an f150 with a mustang pi intake. -Or more aggressive a/m cams with a pi intake, stock heads. push button power, I read you don't have to upgrade the fuel system but I want to anyway. -Is e85 a good idea or just stick with premium? -witch injectors and fuel pump should I go with? -how much, i read you can do 150hp shot. I want to push it to the limit? Transmission/differential -Is a valve body worth it or just do a shift kit or a j mod? -at this point is a converter worth it, if so what stall?* -what rear gear, I was thinking 4:10? Chassis -lowered a little* -sub frame connectors, weld in, who builds a good set? -upper control arms, who builds a good set? goal for the car is to build a drag car so if there is anything I missed or don't need feel free to give some advise anything productive will appreciated.**
Tb plenum Long tubes mid pipe and Cat back Pi heads 270 pi intake Do you have a tuner or want to have a dyno tune.... stick with pump Spray it till it blows Jmod is a starting point but a good shift kit is not a bad idea I am running a Fairbanks shift kit. 4200 stall and 4.30 gears with 28 in slicks
I was gonna have it dyno tuned when I get enough mods but though about getting generic tunes to help with the transmission.
Comp cams Cms makes good cams as well as modular head shop has options. Is e85 available in your area? Even then I would wait..... its extra cost for little benefit
I live in suburbs of chicago there is probably 50 gas stations in a 10 mile radius of my house 1 of them has to have e85 lol. 4200 stall and 4:30 gears seem excessive I was thinking 3,000.
Definitely at least do the PI heads/cam/intake. To be honest, anything you do to the motor (short of forced induction) without getting rid of the NPI heads is going to be pretty pointless.
