Do it.

You won't regret it

Yes you will cause you wont want to stop dropping goodies into it!

No worries, I have had DSM's so I am used to spending money on cars. It will just be nice to spend them on mods rather than fixing the last thing that broke....

1999 Ford Mustang GT.

PI heads = easiest modifications....
2v = cheeper head build (over 3 or 4v) for a street/strip car.... (if you get that deep into the car)

my $0.02...

i know, but i think he should go the other direction, thats all :)

a 302 would be a good starter car as well... but not my cup of tea. :p

I should be fine with whatever I end up with. I have had lots of build experience before, it has just been more of the import scene (dsm's) and offroad. First time playing with V8's though :D

Id be a little weary about why the engine was replaced at 70k +/- miles.

5.0's are a hell of a motor, and it should not have blown a piston unless it had a little help. I could be wrong though...

X2, i was just wondering what caused the old engine to come apart? hmm... something doesn't smell right.. I've seen 94-95
5.0s with 200K and occasional nitrous usage run smooth as hell, no strange noises, so for this one to have effed up a pistion at 70k,
makes me wonder...

The engine died at 120k, the new motor is out of a donor car with 50k on it. Under 100 miles since swap...

Ahh, that way you wrote it made it sound like the motor was replaced 50k ago...
