im sure this is on here some where, a link would be great if it is. Anyway i just got gears installed in my 98 gt and was trying to figure out if they still took the new gear that went into the transmission or does it require a electronic calibrator that you plug in. I know on some newer cars you can just change it with a tuner. Any info would be great thanks.

DallasMustang.com has a speed cal. Buy that and it'll bring your speedo back to normal. The closest fix beyond that is a $15 replacement speedometer gear. Those only go up to 3.73's though. I don't know what gears you have but I have 4.10's and the 3.73 gear brought my speedo within 5 mph.

I have a speedcal i need to install, i went with the speedo gear with my 3.73 and it was ok for a year or two but now it gets really off over 80mph. I hear they get chewed up easily.
