how'd the stock shortblock hold up with 14psi and over 500whp?

took every bit of it and was fine up until the day i took it out

i actually swapped the s-trim out for a t-trim and it was making upwards of 17 for about a year but i never took it to the track that way

That's not much to brag about. If actually be a little upset with those times and that kinda power. That's just me tho.

wat?

I am hoping that you didn't read the entire post. Those numbers from a stock block and stock 1993 suspension. I have been there to see many passes by his car.

So, what would you expect out of that basic setup on stock suspension? I can tell you that I know 2 people that race and have raced NMRA that thought it was impressive.

Jeez man, i'd be so nervous. My kb was makin 220 degree intake temps at only 9psi but even with meth i'd be afraid to take it much higher...

kb and the likes are very inefficient compared to a centrifugal. its apples and oranges. my current ysi @ 20 is less then 200 degrees during a full pass non-intercooled, no meth etc
