dont buy into the custom cam name, its a cam cut to specs the maker chooses, ex they make one cam for each set up not per car means 94-95-head, intake, blower has a cam, 94-95 head, intake, nitrious has a cam, and 94-95 n/a has a cam. i could be wrong but its funny how 2 differents cars i have had ended up with the same "custom" cam. so look for specs you want not a name tag

This is a good one lol

I run a Steeda #19, i wanted something that was computer friendly and not too radical, and that I could run 1.7 rr with and not have to worry about notching pistons. It's also boost friendly which I knew I'd be doing eventually and it matched the RPM range of the heads I bought. all that and it was only $200.

Are you telling me your idle is rock solid and steady and that your torque curve is as smooth as silk and your powerband is exactly where you requested it? Gee Trav I think you wasted your money with Ed haha, should have bought a TFS cam, you would have saved a $100 and would have been alot happier. :p

this makes me laugh. Ed makes great cams from what i have heard.

on another note i went with the TFS 1 for now for a number of reason. 1. its a cheap and suppose to be a good off the shelf cam. 2. its not going to be in there long as i will build another motor and go and pay for the cam that will be made for my setup. 3. it is computer capable

This is a different end of the spectrum comparison but I'm bringing it up just to make a point. Look at professional drag cars, Outlaw 10.5, Real Street, True Street exc exc... Do you think these guys run custom cams that are just a cookie cutter basic formula cam? I highly doubt it. They are all custom grind cams that are meant for their specific engine and set up. Point is custom cams have a purpose, you are going to get the most out of a combo with a cam that its built just for it.
